About Robin

Me, in 2001

I’m a mother, a teacher, and a citizen of the world who believes that living peaceably as a planet relies much more on compassion and civility than borders and politics. God did not draw border lines to divide us. We did that. The Jesus I learned about didn’t tell us to build walls (literal or symbolic) to keep us separate from those whose skin is of a different hue or who speak a different language.  Again, humans. Ghandi wouldn’t have sat at a computer in his underwear blogging snide remarks about the opposition to get everyone riled up. The Dalai Lama doesn’t spend his time forwarding unsubstantiated email rumors about political figures. I look to those who resemble  the aforementioned heroes  to guide my choices; I fail miserably in emulation but am inspired nonetheless. “Doctors without Borders” won the Nobel Peace Prize a number of years ago; if only we could be a world of  “Humans without Borders.”  Peace, people. Let’s take care of each other.

  1. Robin,
AMEN! I can’t agree enough! What would Jesus do? I think he would love everyone. How wide is your love?

    1. Same here, Leah; I was just a kid, maybe 11 or 12 when it was released. It hit me in the gut and still resonates deeply with me whenever I hear it. I’m glad I found your blog. I’ll enjoy following your travels through life!

  2. Hi Robin. I like your thoughts. If it means anything to you per your Wish List #2 item, I just built a cat house for our community of ferals, about 15. It has heat and Wi-Fi! –lol

    1. I’d love to see a pic of that! I just finished making two feral shelters using Tupperware tubs and Reflictix, but no wi-fi; the cats will just have to read the books I left out for them 🙂
