Happy Holidays!

Happy Everything, Everyone!

December 19, 2009January 2, 2010 ~ paxgirl ~ Leave a comment

Whatever you are celebrating, whomever you are (or are not) worshiping, and however you are commemorating this season of holidays: I wish you well, I wish you love, and I wish you peace.

Making some Wishes….

Wishing for Peace.

Wishing for shelter animals to find loving homes.

Wishing for people to stop the mean and make Compassion the default.

Wishing I was thinner.

(Sometimes)Wishing the "Easy" Button was real.

Doing all I can to make these wishes come true.

Suggestions welcome!

Why this Blog?

I'm writing for a number of reasons: to work through partially formed ideas; to get things off my chest; to encourage Peace on Earth. There is no theme, no rhyme or reason to the subjects, though as a teacher, I tend to post about education. And there's that cat thing.

In no way am I trying to preach or impose my philosophy on anyone--if you don't like it, click the 'x' in the close box and you'll be merrily on your way! If anything resonates with you, or doesn't, I'd love to read your take on the essays--leave a comment. Comments that disagree with my thoughts in an adult and civil way will be approved-comments that include name-calling, sarcasm or "mean" will not.

If you think someone else might like to muse along with me, feel free to pass the link along.
Thanks for stopping in.

The Saboscrivner

The Saboscrivner is a librarian who writes about food in Orlando, Florida, and beyond. I was inspired by Chew, a brilliant, bizarre, food-obsessed comic book series about characters with food-related super powers. Creators John Layman and Rob Guillory introduced their saboscrivner in Chew #3 with a description: "[A saboscrivner] can write about food so accurately, so vividly and with such precision – people get the actual sensation of taste when reading about the meals [he] writes about."
